People call adele overrated just because she doesnt do lung busting high notes and over the top vocal runs. People in youtube are starting to get annoying making it seem like you only deserve to be famous in music if you're a whitney/mariah type belting singer who sing excessive runs. What they dont understand is that Adele is also a songwriter and very knowledgeable in "music theory". She's a real musician. She's not just a pop diva. The thing that makes her great is that she writes all her songs using instruments and all of her songs are beautiful. Thats what these pop belting divas cant do. They are not legit songwriters and they need a lot of help from other people to write their stuff and their songs still dont sound as good. Adele's 21 was a masterpiece. The first time I heard it. It was like hearing etta james, aretha franklin, the beatles, janis joplin, and dusty springfield in one album. It had a lot of musical elements and the songa were written with unique melodies and chord progressions, and adele's voice is very unique, raw and powerful too. It's so naturally distinct that no one can copy it. That is why she's famous. Enough with the "Adele is overrated" comments.
